You then sat down to continue watching television.

I mean, you are dead tired after having to wait like 16 hours just to get your hands on that hot ticket item.

3'o clock runs around, you abruptly awaken to the noisy static sound of television broadcast, you stumble around and reach for your remote to shut the television off only to knock over your drinks. Then you suddenly realized, "Isn't my cell phone is right on to the table?" You rub your eyes to get a better look on the situation.

But lo and behold.

Your $600 very-expensive smartphone is just sitting in a pool of beer.

Geez, and you just bought this too, like yesterday. What should you do? The same situation goes, you can't sell it on Craigslist or eBay either. Even if you are managed to find any buyer, they will cut your prices deeply when anybody see that giant water mark.

The only way to do is make the best of any situation by coming to Brokensellphone.com. We will take your no power cell phone or water damaged smart phone and pay you cash for it.

Aside from surfing the internet, getting e-mails and texting messages to your friends. Your smart phone is capable of much much more on the multimedia end.

The popularity of video sharing is at its highest right now, and it most likely won't go away for quite a while. YouTube is one of the oldest, and most well-known video sharing website. YouTube have contents ranging from funny home videoes, comedy sketches, how-to videoes or even just video blogging of users.

Having a smart phone with YouTube capabilities can go a long way for users on YouTube, especially the ones that do vlogging. One benefit is portability, the user may record a short video of some item of interest, upload it right from their smart phone, then go on about their business.

However, anybody who has remotely worked with video files can tell you that handling video files will tax a lot of resources and place a heavy burden on the hardware. Hey Apple...How Much is That Repair?

How is your iPhone doing?

If you had to answer that question with anything other than "It's good." Then there is most likely something wrong with it.

Do you know whats wrong with it? There is a good chance that you won't have any idea what is causing the problem. In fact, majority of the population won't know either if the same situation occurred to them.

Okay, so next you gotta get the iPhone fixed right? But wait, first you really must know how the damaged has occurred. Generally speaking, if you aren't able to see any major damage to mobile phone, then you should be alright. In layman's term, if you did not do anything other than what iPhone is advertised to do, then there wouldn't be any issues with Apple.
In the middle of "other"
miscellaneous activities.

However, should there be any kind of damage or "other" activities, then Apple will treat your mobile phone as under "Out of Warranty Service." It means you will have to pay out of your pocket to have that iPhone repaired.

Apple will charge $199 to have your iPhone serviced. See here for the quote.

Sounds like a lot, right? In facts, its probably how much you have paid to sign up for that iPhone in the first place. Though it sounds pretty good solution to your problem, there is actually other choices you can make with the same $199.

You could sent it in to Apple and pay $199 to have your iPhone serviced, but that only fixed the present problem.  What if there are other issues down the road? Apple will still cover the repair for another 90 days. However, who knows if there are other underlying problems that they did not catch and surfaced after the 90 days? Long term wear and tear is one of the top headache-causing issue for any electronic devices.

What you can do is sell that broken iPhone to us, Brokensellphone.com. We will take your damaged mobile phone and pay you cash for it. Then, you can use that cash and sign up for a brand new, worry-free iPhone!

There, your most complicated problem easily solved, you still did not end up that far from where you were either. The broke iPhone problem taken care of and you can go back to rocking that iPod or playing Angry Bird.

Broken LCD...or Broken Touch Panel? Its A Case of Both!

Does your smart phone have a touch panel? Most of us do, and so does more than half of the people you know too.
Touchy touchy...

Touch panel styled cell phones are definitely getting more popular.

In fact, majority of the smart phone crowds probably won't even consider any other type of cell phone. It is like a must-have, necessity for smartphones to be equipped with touch panels nowadays. The touch panel is featured in all of the cell phones presented in the Mobile Web Congress 2011, even if they have a physical keyboard.

Though it sounds like the cutting edge of technology, the touch panel we come to know and interact with on our mobile phones, is actually a very fragile piece of plastic.

As much as you might have been protective of your treasured smart phone, some unwanted incident still might occur down the road. You might drop your cell phone on just a whim, your younger counsin might "borrow" your cell phone and break it when they sit on it by "accident", or your little ones might finally be able to reach the table and flip it off right from the top.

Groan as much as you might, but still that does not change the fact that you now have a broken cell phone. Unlike before you might be able to get away with just changing the display, but with the touch panels, its totally a different story.

My iPhone 4 broke.... /_\ (sad face).
Why, you might think, all they had to do was change out a part right?

While that is true, the touch panel cell phones are of a new kind of bunch. The LCDs and touch panels are now manufactured into what they now called "combo parts." To simplify the process of manufacturing, the smart phone makers now put these two parts together to speed up production and repair processes. Do a search on eBay, just on "iPhone repair parts" and you will see. Many of the spare parts for iPhone will be already pre-assembled like "LCD with digitizers assembly", or "motherboard with baseband board attached."

So for your damaged smart phone, that means only one route to repair, replacing both the touch panel and the LCD screen. If you are lucky, the manufacturer might agree to repair your cell phone....for a fee upwards to $275. If not, the manufacturer will flat out reject any case they deemed out of warranty.

In the end, you will have a broken cell phone you don't want to spend a fortune to repair but can't throw away. What is the best course of action in this case? Come to Brokensellphone.com and we'll take that cracked screen mobile phone off of your hands and give you cash for it!

Facebook smart phones...

It seems that all mobile devices now support Facebook connections, ranging from eReaders, tablets, internet-enabled TVs and of course, the smart phones.

Facebook is big, I'm talking about really BIG.

Facebook is primary social networking connection of many. Though there are others, but almost everybody has heard of Facebook one way or another. Even if you yourself is not on Facebook, you can literally point out at least one person around you that uses the service. Some people were even able to reconnect with their long lost old friends through this service.

That is how powerful Facebook is.

Facebook will tag people's name
letting you know the name of that
chick last night was Pamela.
So having a device that is able to connect to Facebook spells a defining feature for many. Lately, the smart phone market has sprung a new breed called "Facebook smart phones." What does this really mean? It means that the smart phone will support Facebook natively, displaying news, friends updates, posting your photos and read social feeds without having to load up the actual Facebook application or website. Also, the Facebook smartphones has a "Facebook button." When you presse this button, it will take you straight to your Facebook page.

For many, the Facebook circle is their main hub of activities. Whether they are planning a trip or a simple party for the weekend, it all happens there. So having a mobile device that'll support Facebook functions literally means the world to them.

The first two smart phones introduced this year that are such devices are the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa. Others manufacturers might still due to introduce their Facebook smart phones, but none has any announcements so far. So if you are looking to sell your old mobile phones to get some cash for this new line of smart phones, come to Brokensellphone.com.

The Breakdown of Broken LCD (Literally...)

Broken LCD is one of the most dreadful issues that can happen to your mobile phone. When it happens, you can pretty much count your mobile phone as out of commission. It’s not like one of the minor malfunctions, where as if a speaker broke, you can switch to using earphones instead and continue with a bit of minor inconvenience.

When the LCD screen is broken, it’ll be there forever until you get it taken care of.

This can't possibly be
good...
Depending on the severity of the breakage, the screen might still function like normal, but that will be hard to gauge for each individual cases. In some incidents the LCD might still display normally under some conditions. However, when you change to contents that display fast moving images, you will start to see the screen flashing instead. Worst part of it all is that you might get what is called LCD bleed.

If your LCD breakage is like this, then it will be even more difficult to continue to use your mobile phone. Because this means that the affected pixels are mixed together, not forming a complete picture for you. Under other conditions, it might look like a minor discoloration, brightness issue or dead pixels. But nonetheless, all of these issues will get on your nerves one day.

With the touch screen styled phone nowadays, there is even an additional complication added to the issue.

The Touch Panel.

But that is saved for next time.

Meanwhile, come to Brokensellphone.com and sell us that cell phone with broken LCD. No matter how the LCD screen breakage occurred, we'll still take that what you now called a very expensive paper weight.

Blackberry....

Times are getting tougher for a Blackberry user. Everywhere they look, an Apple users to the left and Android users to the right.

Blackberry used to be the King of smart phones.

No Love For Blackberry.
But that position has been surpassed by the newer, easier, and more affordable smart phones. Smart phones are no longer in the hands of business users only. With the introduction of the iPhone, Steve Job raised the bar for smartphones and made the general public demanding more from their cell phones. As the spot light move to shine on for the iOS and Android team, the curtain slowly draws to a close for the RIM team. As the LCD screen real-estate gets bigger and bigger, the need of a physical keyboard diminishes. What used to be considered as a must-have for the e-mail typing can now be done with a soft-keyboard on the screen.

For the users, the looks of a bigger, smoother screen is simply more pleasing to the eye than the clunking, bumpy keyboards. For the manufacturers, the presence of a physical keyboard places design limitations and adds complications to the smart phone manufacturing process. For the application developers, having set and marked physical keys means limited and restricted options for them.

So why are you still tapping away on that Blackberry Bold? Come to Brokensellphone.com and we will pay good money for Blackberry. Time to get with the trend, trade in that Blackberry for one of them new iPhone 6 or HTC Touch 2015.

To Be or Not to Be, that is the question!

The much anticipated September 2011 Apple iPhone 5 roll out is planned later than expected this year, where its predecessors were released in summer months of June.   This kept me wondering how long this déjà vu would remain interesting.  I understand all the fanfare and excitement in which the Apple marketing juggernaut can drum up for their followers, but would the magic still exist after like 5 more releases? I am not sure if iPhone 10 would be as wicked from the legendary first that made everything possible.  What is so different between iPhone 6 & 7? I cannot doubt the creativeness that Apple brings and the affect it has on everyday life. Apple’s motto demands the user experience to be unique and to express a sense of individualism compared anyone else through the use of their iconic products. Therefore, how can I feel that if I watched the same trailer every summer or when practically every Joe has one in their pockets?

Then again…. the ability of Apple or Jobs is un-matched since its karma is identical to Disney’s caliber associating with kids of several generations! We’ll just have to wait and see!

Check out our buy back prices for your AT&T broken iPhone 4 up to $280..!

What to do when your cell phone broke?

It’s just a nice day.

You take your beloved cell phone out of your pocket. Whether to make a call, check the time, or see how your portfolio is doing. Then suddenly, a car honks, or you thought somebody called your name, in that sudden moment, you got distracted. It was only for a second you thought, probably even less, but just in that short time, you let your grip loose and your very expensive gadget starts falling towards the floor.

"Smack."

"Clack, clack."

As you hear those sounds, you can't help but to imagine what kind of damage your cell phone has sustained. Didn't like that case because it adds too much bulk or just didn't felt right?

"I'll just buy another one down the road."

But that does not matter anymore.

My kung-fu grip was weak sauce.
If you are lucky enough, you might just get away with a few nicks and scratches. However, most of us probably are not that lucky. For the rest of us, we are probably staring at either a huge crack through the screen, or trying to turn the phone back on because it went dead.

What to do now? You certainly will need another cell phone for sure, but what to do with your old one? You could try to get it fix by someone, but going to a reputable repair shop will charge you so much money that you can probably net you a brand new cell phone.  Going back using your ancient cell phone won’t work, because it probably can’t connect to the internet or its one of the very old and clunky kind of OS that nobody has heard about. In the end, you end up getting another smart phone from somewhere like eBay, Craigslist, or end up extending your contract.

Still, the question of your old, broken, cell phone remains. Can’t let it sit for eternity in the closet and you can’t throw it in the trash either because you’ve paid decent money for it. So is there a better alternative?

Yes there is.

Come to Brokensellphone.com to see how much your old smart phone costs. Either its broke by someone sat on it or fell into the water, it’s still worth something to us.

Drinks Anyone?

Water damaged cell phone is quite a common accident. It can cause short circuiting on the touch screen or internal components of your smart phone. A quick wipe might seem like a fix, however, liquid intrusion might have occurred upon spillage. Slow corrosion will set in after time and cause malfunction of your smart phone.

Anyone who has experience of this type of accident will still be able to use their phone for a while, a few days or few months depending on the severity of the water intrusion. Soon or later your device will experience abnormal behavior or becomes increasingly un-responsive. That is the results of corrosion caused by liquids. Eventually, your device could stop functioning all together.

Unfortunately, like all electronic devices this type of damage could be expensive and labor consuming to repair, as main circuit boards needs replacing and often times LCD broken is also a symptom. Purchasing a new device would be suggested course of action and BECAREFUL next time when you are near water!

The Future of Smartphones.

The Man.
What will the future smartphone be like? I mean, its already doing many tasks that a home computer can do so far already. Playing games, movies and surf the internet just to name a few. They do however, have some specialized smartphones that can act as an projector and more. Just what other concepts will manufacturers come up next?

But given any educational guess, the next smartphone will probably be touch-screen(NUH, really?). Also, without any doubts, The Man over at Apple probably already have next model of iPhone lined up already in the labs. Apple pretty much has become the main direction in which the electronic gadget industry looks onto produce the next big hit. Just look at the past examples already, when the iPod is released, all other manufacturers rushes out to produce portable music players. When the iPad is released, all of a sudden, the market is flooded with tablet computers left and right.

Truth to be told, I hate to be giving anymore money to The Man. But you might find it is really well designed after using their product.

Tech Gadget Boundaries

As technology progresses, the boundaries of the technologies are becoming more blurry than ever.

My computer used to be the only device that is able to get on to the internet at all. Now we have smart phones that can get on the internet almost as fast as at home and devices that can also provide internet connections everywhere we go. My cellular phone used to only do two tasks: making calls and playing Pong. Nowadays, the smart phones can take pictures, shoot videos, watch movies, stream music and even play sophisticated 3D games!

Apple iPad
Though technology progressions make the boundaries more blurry, new boundaries are being marked as well.

Before we probably would have never thought of tablet being a feasible market: the computing power was not enough, the power and storage was not enough. But lo and behold, in today's market, new tablets are being introduced every time you sneezed.

However, as manufacturer rushes to fight market shares, the tablet wars is looking a lot liked the desktop PC wars that is fought years back by Dell and HP. But in the end, its the consumer that received the most benefits....right?

Death of Normal Cell Phones

You may already dropped your landline at home and your normal cell phone could be next on chopping block.

I miss the days when cell phones are just phones. They were easy and simple! The old Nokias never seems to crash and ALWAYS loved you with full 4 bars.

My current SmartPhone (HTC Nexus 1) requires more TLC than my dog!
Updating, re-booting, erasing and freeing memory are just some daily task required.
Not to mention the "FIT" it thorws when temperamental!
It will not ring you when someone calls or screen freezes when it decides to go on un-announced vacation! (reminds me of someone...!)

I do miss my old cell phone.....!

Apple Sues Again, This Time With Samsung In Its Crosshairs.

Apple versus Samsung
Apple sues again...looking from the past development of LG v. Apple, Apple v. HTC, HTC v. Apple etc. I have already lost count how many ways they are suing each other.

We could probably understand the reasoning behind the first lawsuit when the market was being introduced the first touchscreen styled phone. But with the number of touchscreen styled mobile phones presently in the market, it just looks bad.

In the end, it probably comes down to which ever company got the best lawyers or the beefiest budget for litigation. But if even any of them won on any of the lawsuits, that means present descendants of Ford could probably sue everybody for the infringement of a metal box that moves on 4 wheels which we all came to known as a CAR.

True Cost of Smart Phones

What most consumer doesn't realize is Smart Phones are actaully expensive gadgets. The average device cost over $500 per handset to purchase without a contract.

Well you may argue "Wait! TV promos to be $99 with 2 years service subscription and I never saw them costing over $150 per handset!"

All major carriers subsidizes bulk of the cost for a smartphone to a level you could afford. Another words, they are literally giving you the device for FREE.... Now you understand why they are charging you an ARM & a LEG for these data service. Not mentioning the hefty contract breaking penalities they enforce when you want to leave.

You may want to think again about the "Cheap" smart phones on your hand...!

Smart Phones Drains You Dry..!!

My smart phone bill is up towards $100 this month, and it just makes me wonder if all these extra services are worth coughing up $1200 per year plus $150 to buy a smartphone. Sure my life is easier (I think?) and faster (depends where I am), but how do people live before all this? They seems to live ok in the past, life was simple without all the emails & tweets. I mean, I am sooo willing to shell out 100 bucks per month to let my FB buddies know exactly what I'm up to. I'm on the crapper this very moment reading "war & peace"..! I can't imagine what family could and willing to afford muitple smart phone service every year. That bill adds up to some major expenses. Suze "really" needs to look at Youtube while waiting for the bus & Timmy "really" needs to tweet to his buddies 3 rows behind... Suze get a BOOK! and Timmy "Talk" to him during break...! Cost down is the new motto for America....! And if you guys happen to break a smart phone by accident, sell it to "Brokensellphone.com" It might just help with your Tweet bill next month~!!

Recycling your cell phone.

Most people do not recycle their mobile phones and they end up in the trash. What they do not know is that most damaged mobile phones can be repaired and be given a new lease on life. While the fast pace of technology creates faster adoption of newer products, the old mobile phones get forgotten. They stayed forgotten and not used until sometime spring cleaning down the road and gets thrown out as trash.

Many components of a mobile phone can still be reused, if not, processed to be used in other industries. So recycle your cell phone through the proper channels and save those precious resources.
